THE CREATURES IN SILENT HILL WERE NOT ORIGINALLY HUMAN. THEY ARE PERSONIFICATIONS OF ALESSA'S PAIN AND SUFFERING WHILE SHE WAS IN THE HOSPITAL. OH. MY. FUCKING. GOD.

They are also personifications of fear from the visitors of the town.

GET IT FUCKING RIGHT, PEOPLE.

My personifications of fear were originally human. But that's partly because I regularly pay homeless people to scare me.
