Anyone interested in going? Me and [livejournal.com profile] keeperofdreams are going up to visit [livejournal.com profile] aulderbane AND hitting this rave that weekend, so I thought I'd see if anyone else might be in the area and interested in meeting up. More info can be found here and here. It's going to be held at this venue, which looks pretty nice.

I'm not sure if I'll be able to leave New York City once I've experienced it. :O

I might be at that.
It depends on the weather, cause there is an AWESOME outdoor party (Starscape) in Baltimore the same night.
If the weather looks shatty Ill be at Nintechno for sure. :)

the hook isnt bad on the inside, but its located in one of the worse areas of brooklyn (just to let you know) There has been a lot of parties being thrown there lately, probably because its dirt cheap and can get away with throwing a "rave" and isnt as ghetto/assholish/etc like that Amazora and some other venues in Queens and the Bronx.
I went to see DDR there back in April, the production wasnt bad, DDR was awesome, but there was a lot of dust heads there (but what else is new at NYC parties). The good thing about NYC (not sure where you are coming from exactly, I kinda found your journal at random) is that they dont allow smoking inside, so you will only really be exposed to it if you are hanging out excessively outside. Also the drinks are on the cheaper side for being in NYC. :)
hmmm Joey Beltram, I forget what weekend this party is, but maybe I'll head up for it myself :) I ahvent seen him in a dogs age

Well, I've never actually been to NYC (though, two of the people I'm going with have), so the whole thing's a new event for me. I'm from Ohio, near Youngstown, so anywhere's high class compared to here. And I'm used to ghetto-ish places. :D I'm not worried about the smoking thing, as I don't smoke, so it won't be a problem for me.

no no, it wasnt to discourage you to go. And its not in a residential area, but a run down industural district. Which kinda makes it cool. It was a word of advice of not to parking too far from the venue.
this is a scary type of ghetto area, not your run of the mill ghetto. And this is coming from someone who lived right outside of NYC for 3 years (so I know nyc fairly well) before moving to west philadelphia.
