So, we finally got our new computer. It's a Gateway, which sucks (but then, it's not fully my comp, anyhow. I'm keeping the beast.) and needed a MAJOR cleaning. This thing has 2,000-some cookies with everything from Jesus to Porn, 400+ megs of stuff that was cleared when we did a disk cleanup, and a bunch of crap programs and games and shit that hadn't been touched since 1998. Which it's running, as well. I think I might stick with XP for as long as I can, since I'm really not feelin' 98 now. XP's more customizable, which I need. And 98 is basic and simple, which TJ perfers. But, the computer does have a full version of Norton Antivirus on it. It needs to be upgraded, but still. And it's got a 10gig harddrive, so that's not too bad. We still need to get another monitor and another mouse. But that'll come in time, as we can't even transfer stuff to the new computer until we get a network card. :P

And news on the apartment: Bud's buying the old bitch Escort off of TJ for $100, this is going to hold our apartment for the month while we get money together for a security deposit and the first month's rent. My mom's gonna help us out as much as she can with it and, if all doesn't go explodingly bad, we'll be in there by September. Cause I'll be damned if I'm going to let this place get away. There's nowhere in this town where you can get a nice little apartment for $250+utilities. NOWHERE. So it's a steal, and it'll be good for us since in means getting out of this hellpit.

Paid half of the cell phone bill and got stuff from Kinko's. They're gonna know me well soon, I imagine. :D Went out to the Southern Park mall to look for applications and play a bit of DDR. Ran into [livejournal.com profile] silvermoonwolf, which wasn't suprising as TJ had just mentioned him as we turned the corner where the DDR machine is. Hung around, chatted, played DDR, the usual. It's always nice seeing him, anyhow. :D

We hung out over my mom's last night and talked and watched movies. It was pretty nice, considering I used to hate doing so. And I'm beginning to tolerate Bud, since they're both trying to do right. I guess Lynn's also thinking about taking me to get new glasses, which would be cool. She's also going to talk to the manager at Taco Bell (who she knows) and see about getting me an interview. Sure, it's Taco Bell, but I REALLY want this apartment, and I'm willing to work at Taco Bell to get it.

It's always really weird to be when I get in these determined states of mind, cause I'm not normally like this. Ah well.

Rob's coming over today to check out the other computer for viruses. I reall don't feel like trudging through the system registry for crap, so he can do it. :3 And I've got a picture to post and maybe I'll do some oekakis or something today, provided the computer wants to cooperate.

I think I might take a few comissions, if anyone's interested. Since I need any money I can get to go towards the apartment until I've got a job. If you're interested, leave a comment or something.

Hee. Y'got a computer just like mine now from the sounds of it. :D Minus the cookies and such. o.O

And yes, go for the apartment. $250 a month is an absolute steal. o.O Not to mention it'll get you guys out of the hell hole you're in now.

How old is that Gateway again? :D I might also have a spare network card around here somewhere. If not, I can pick one up from the outlet store for dirt cheap. :D

The tag on the back says around '99. So I'd guess it's from...uh...'99. ;D

Heh. Sounds like my machine. :-p

Say, maby you can do a commission for a monitor? I have like 6 extra monitors around and all they are doing is colecting dust. Whould be nice to put them in good use.

Yay for Taco Bell! ^-^;
