Okay, so, apparently our C drive is chock full of SOMETHING. And we don't know what the hell is taking up all of the space. Seriously. And it's not like we can just go and delete things at random off of the C drive, as that's the main drive. So, uh, anything we can do?

what version of windows are you using? i remember reading about a swapfile that windows 9x and ME use that can grow incredibly huge and eat up your disk space, and you can delete it without a problem, windows will just recreate it.
other than that, you can try trashing everything in the c:\windows\temp folder, and your temporary internet files.

98, actually. I should look into that, see what it is. If you don't know it offhand, that is? I've cleared out all my temp folders and cookies and random stuff, but it still seems to be far too full. :P

There should be a 'disk cleanup' under accessories/system tools.

...Hmmm... I'd suggest going to C:/ and opening the properties, and selecting the option to show hidden files.

Do you keep your artbits on your computer? Picture files eat up space like nobody's business, usually. Also, do you have much mp3s?

Failing that, go into the C:/ directory and look it over; check the Program Files and see if there's anything odd in there. Sometimes programs can bloat really easily - small base file, then it 'self-unpacks' into a titanic blob...

And as an aside, as long as you don't nuke things that're in the system registry, or things vital to system function, you can pretty much delete at random... It's just not advisable for anyone who can't psychically tell if this 'BNgI36x8.dll' or that 'Bork34.grd' file are actually important or not.

...Sometimes the fweirdest files are vital. Really.
