obliviousally_ljSo, yesterday was spent driving around AKRON to find the Chinatown in CLEVELAND. Some stupid otaku at Suncoast gave TJ the wrong directions (they said to take I-76 to Superior when you really had to take I-77 to Superior. Augh), so about three hours were spent driving around fucking Akron trying to find this place that didn't exist there. Eventually, we did the smart thing and called information and managed to hunt it down. Made it there an hour or so before they closed. <3<3 The place we went was a little shopping-type place called Asia Place or something. It had little shops crammed with trinkets and goodies and a huge grocery store. I spent a grand total of, like, $30 alltogether there. And I came home with this loot for me and TJ:
Pizza Pretz - Really good stuff. I was suprised. It actually tastes like pizza. And not crappy imitation pizza. Seriously.
Salad Pretz - Good as well, I onl;y had one stick, though. Has a hint of italian dressing flavor.
Hokkaido Milk/Whipped Cream Mousse Pocky - I got this cause it was the closest thing to Milk Pocky (which they didn't have). Very rich and sweet. Smooth, too.
Strawberry Gateau Decorer Pocky - I was actually under the impression that this wasn't for sale outside of Japan, but I guess I was wrong. It's hard to come by, I know that much, but it's freaking wonderful. Very nice flavor. Psst, I only paid $2.29 for my box. <3
Mont-Blanc Chocolat Decorer Pocky - I haven't actually tried this flavor yet, I've been too lazy to open the box. Only $2.29 as well. ^_^
Kasugai Roasted Hot Green Peas - I'd been wanting to try these for a while now, but could never find them. Unfortunately, I mistook 'hot' as in American hot, like, hot sauce. Nooo. Japanese hot = Wasabi. x_x Maybe I'd prefer the regular ones. :P
TenKei Marshmallow Orange Filled - I'd been meaning to buy some of these for TJ when I was buying stuff online a few years ago. But I never got the chance to. They're simply little marshmallow puffs with, like, orange gummy/jelly filling inside. Very tasty.
Morinaga Okinawa Black Sugar Caramel (??) - I'm not actually sure if this is what I have, however, the taste seems to match up the name. The back of the bag (where the english nitritional facts are) simply says 'Hard Candy (Hamana Okinawa Kuro Ame)'. I don't know. I just know I had this when I first had Pocky and reallyreally liked it, but I never knew what it was and, apparently, still don't :P This is what my bag looks like.
Eishindo Jellies - That all I can decipher from the bag. Japanesesnacks.com used to send this out as little extras when you'd buy something from there. They're little cups with a Jello-like substance in them. The ones I originally had tasted a tad alcholic, but these don't. I can't find them online anywhere, but here's what my bag looks like.
Original Ramune Soda - I finally got to try it....like, 4 hours after I bought it cause I had -no idea- how to open it. x_x But it was tasty. ^_^
Orange Ramune Soda - This one was TJ's. I only had a sip, but it was quite tasty.
I also spotted lots of other candies and yummies (Koala Yummies!) that I'd like to try, but I'd actually like to have half an idea what they are before I buy them. ^_^; They also had the GIANT Strawberry Pocky, but I held off on it. For the Decorer. <3 I bought TJ a cute Cinnamoroll change purse and pen. I saw a Nyago notepad, but didn't feel like spending $2.25 on it when I'd probably never use it. starc, and was going to buy them, but I don't have her new address. So I held off, for now. ^_^
After our day-long excursion, we ordered pizza and came home. Whee! ^_^
Oh yeah. Hey, Rob? What you pulled yesterday was immature and pathetic. Really. Stop being so oversensitive because you missed your chance with TJ. Boo-hoo. Cry me a river. If you keep up your attitiude like it is, you're not going to have TJ as a friend at all. You used to be a cool guy until you turned into a whiny emo-bitch because TJ got a boyfriend. Hey, it happens, get over it. You're making her extremely uncomfortable at work and you're starting to act like a stalker. So cute the 'mope' and 'woe is me' shit and toughen the fuck up.

Still an hour or so until the corner store opens and I can get some pop. :D
I also have to work at 4PM today. Wheehoo. I'm only up this early cause TJ had to work at 7AM. :P
