Ravetastic! ...ow.
May. 4th, 2003 12:27 pmYes, it was.
So, yesterday was...quite an event. Most of it consisted of mallage and eating and hanging around, waiting for TJ to get offf of work. We (Me, Noir, and, TJ) all decided to go Educate at Hiram College. It was free and all ages, which was good, cause I still have no ID. >_< Augh. So we drive up there, it ends up raining a bit, we get lost (our turnoff was actually before Rt. 700...), but we get there by 11PM or so. There's, like, hardly anyone there, but we hang around anyhow, cause the music was good. I remember I forgot the glowsticks in the car, so I run out to get them. Yes, run, in rain, on gravel. I got to the car fine, but I crashed and burned on the run back. In the gravel. Augh. So I manged to make it back up the hill, my hand tore the fuck up, to the point where I'm actually holding a handful of blood by the time I got back up to the building. Me and TJ manage to make it to the bathroom, and attempt to clean me up, which is near impossible because we have no peroxide or bandages. TJ sends Noir to find some, and he returns with a few and some medical tape. By this time, I'm really lightheaded, I can barely see, and my hearing's all whacked. So I end up sitting on the floor and attempting to keep myself from passing out. We spent about a half hour or so in the bathroom, by my out-of-it estimates. So, after that ordeal I refuse to go home and we go back out and walk around a bit. There's more people by now, which is cool. And they also had suds and shit in the one corner. Which I HAD to go in, despite me being in pain and all (I also ripped a hole in my good raver-glowy pants). So I managed to drag TJ in there, and after throwing bubbles at each other, we went and hung out on the benches in the back. That goes pretty well until some drunken college dude come over and pesters us. We manage to make him go away, but he wound up running into us about three more times throughout the night. Until TJ bitched at him. Rock. Back to the foam pit, whee! Cause TJ ended up liking it in there. Despite all the people freak-dancing and the guy who was running around in his briefs. XD That was entertaining. After the foam pit kinda died down, we went and hung out by the speakers. The rest of the night was spent dancing our asses off. Woot!
So, other than my horrible injury, it was a great day. We stayed out until 3AM. We would have stayed later, but I -really- needed to get my wounds cleaned. x_x
Come home, I end up in the bathroom attempting to clean out my various wounds. The worst are on my right knee (which makes it heard to walk) and my left hand. Augh. But I didn't get them all cleaned cause I started getting lightheaded. x_x I hate when my body does that.
But it was fun, and I really enjoyed myself. And I plan on going to more. The people there were really cool. Once all the idiot college kids were gone it was just the ravers left, and that rocked. Got a couple flyers, too. And there weren't any drugs floating around, mostly cause it was a college, and there was security all around. But they were cool, to the point that they were actually throwing bubbles at each other for a bit. So it was a good first-time experience. Rock. I hope to go to more like Educate. ^_^
Today will be spent...um...getting bandages, running over my mom's, and possibly taking a bath. Cause I need one, but I know it's going to be an experience of horrible pain. x_x
