Anthrocon~
Jun. 25th, 2011 07:56 pmHurr durr. Brought my laptop, but I'm updating from the Tigerden computers (also, likely to be filled with typos, I haven't used a PC keyboard in quite a few months).
Anthrocon's been nice so far! I did Artists Alley yesterday and this morning, though I only made $27 total, I didn't expect a whole lot because I wasn't doing commissions. But I sold a few things and gave away some mini prints, so it wasn't so bad. I think next year, I might get a Dealer's table. I know I say that every year, but seriously so much nicer/easier than being tied to a table for however long the Alley is open. You can come and go in the Dealer's Den as you please. Plus, I could sell more stuff than just my own artwork, which means I can sell collabs. They don't allow that anymore in the Alley.
I have classwork to do, which I really need to, at least, WATCH my lectures and take my midterm. Then I'll do the rest of my homework and quizzes when I get home tomorrow evening. I have until midnight to do everything. I was going to do it Thursday, but all the wifi around here has really been sucking for streaming videos. Maybe I'll just use my phone as a hotspot and do it that way tonight.
I've been such a lamer and bailing on the Zoo all weekend. I've just been SO tired and we've been crashing around 10PM or so. We're such old people. But I'm going to try and hang out there tonight.
I bought a lot of trinkets and stickers. Also, two commissions from Final Flight (or is it just 'Final' now?), which I can't wait to see~ I also acquired a bird skull! While I've been wanting a crow/raven, I found a sparrow which suits what I want well enough. I also got a dangly opossum from Firefeathers (I think), a few $5 grab bags from Daria McGrain, as well as some stickers/mini prints/charms. I also got the last two Peaches & Cream metal charms! I've been wanting them for-ev-er now and I'm so glad I got some finally! They're SO freaking cute.
Tony acquired a new hyena plush, a TASMANIAN DEVIL plush, and a fatty opossum plush for me~
It's been awesome seeing people again, too! And meeting new folks has been awesome, which is always good~
Now, I must acquire Arby's and return to the Omni (which is very nice, but a bit too far from the Westin for us in almost the middle of the summer. New year, Courtyard or Westin, definitely~!) before we come BACK down to the Zoo to hang out with peoples~ Huzzah!
