This. Chick.

I wanted to reply on Tumblr, but the reblog page keeps giving me 'Not Found', so I'll post it here and bitch about it all I like.

Just because someone doesn't like slash in a particular fandom, doesn't mean they're ~anti-slash~ everywhere. I highly dislike Supernatural slash ships, but I'm all about the great lulz that is Tony/Steve in the Marvel fandom. It's not 'prudish' at all to dislike something that a vast majority of a fandom seems to be bizarrely infatuated with. Just because your work might show up in a non-slash gallery doesn't mean you're 'in favor of' anti-slash or something ridiculous.

Just because someone runs a non-slash group doesn't mean they too don't like boobs and peen. I fucking love porn, but not when it involves my two favorite TV show brothers who are absolutely not gay for each other at all and that's just twisting their relationship into something creepy and wrong.

Who gives a fuck if your work isn't 'filthy' or 'controversial'? IT'S FUCKING DEVIANT ART, YOU CAN ONLY GET AWAY WITH SO MUCH WHEN IT COMES TO SLASH ANYHOW. Fuck.

The assumptions she's making are both laughable and fucking enraging.

But the background on this and why I'm really pissed about it is this: I was submitting this chick's art to my Supernatural group on DA. I saw there were a lot of general SPN groups, but they were overrun with slash art and I didn't want that coming up in my inbox and filling me with rage because it DOESN'T MAKE ANY FUCKING SENSE PEOPLE. I KNEW there were probably other people who also didn't want other peoples' ships shoved in thier faces. I figured I'd make a nice general gallery without a whole lot of in-your-face-ship-shoving and it'd be cool.

Apparently, not so much.

I'd been submitting her art to the gallery through the request feature (or whatever it is) for a few months now. She'd accepted and they'd show up in the gallery and all was cool. I really do love her art, but now I realize her attitude kind of sucks. A few weeks ago, there was a note in the group's inbox where she requested we didn't add her stuff to the group anymore because she isn't 'anti-slash' and doesn't want to be 'associated' with 'anti-slash'. Alright, whatever. If you weren't into that, wouldn't you have done that the first time your stuff was submitted to see what the group was about? Why did it take so long for you to say something about something you're, apparently, so vehemently against?

Then, this shows up on her tumblr (which I still watched, because I wasn't going to let one little thing like that cast a bad light on someone - maybe she just didn't want to mention anything before, whatever) and I know it's directed at my group - to a point, I don't know how many non-slash SPN groups are on DA these days - and that really pisses me off.

Supernatural slash fans are fucking crazy. dfgjdklfgjdfklgjdlgjsldkgjdlgjldkg.

EDIT: I checked the group notes - because I hadn't in a few days - and she said anything already there can stay (I'd asked if she wanted me to remove the pieces already there). How does that even make sense? If you don't want your art associated with dflgdhflgndfgkldhgldgjldkghkldgk. I CAN'T EVEN.
