I never had to hide any books from my mom. I grew up with a large selection of V.C. Andrews and Stephen King books to peruse. I never actually read any of them all the way through, of course. But I liked the covers to the V.C. Andrews books and I'd skim through Stephen King books for the interesting parts.

Past that, I loved Goosebumbs and spooky books like that. I read most anything I got my hands on or had an interesting cover.

Work in progress. The face needs work, of course. That's why it's in pencil. She'll be playing cat's cradle (or, starting to). I don't know why, it just seemed like a good idea at 9AM while sleep deprived after work in the mall. The more I look at it, the stranger it looks. Maybe I've got proportions wrong somewhere... I need to clean up the hands/fingers, too. And, good god, I need to learn to draw hands correctly instead of those...claws.
