Things seem better now. This is good.
[SEEKRIT PROJECT] is coming along. The biggest obstacle will be [CENTERPIECE], unfortunately. But we have friends who are assisting us with it, so hopefully we can manage SOMETHING decent.
Hopefully.
Anthrocon is so very unsure it's not even funny. I get paid next week. I'm hoping it'll top $400. But I still have bills. And $400 isn't quite enough for a weekend of debauchery and mayhem, especially with having to go in on hotel room costs (not that I mind doing this, of course, but if I don't have the funds, well...). If I was prepared to sell shit, it'd be a different story. I could make enough to cover room costs, at the very least. And, possibly, registration costs. I made almost $100 just sitting in the Artists Alley lasy year for a day, so I know I could make up my money.
But it's the INITAL costs. And the fact that I'm only guaranteed an AA table one day out of the three.
I'm just so pissed that I was keeping my head above the water with money in Seattle, but once I got back here I'm in debt and borrowing money from family and friends. It's SO frustrating.
I'm blaming most of it on the rising gas costs, of course.
So, we'll see. If nothing else, we'll blow the money to trek down for a day just to see friends.
Also, new layout on my journal. Snagged from the lovely
thefulcrum who has fabulous journal templates.
