Okay, I can't fucking stand it anymore. I've spent the last four years keeping my mouth shut about this, but I JUST. CAN'T. ANYMORE.



This is the flyer for Colossal Con, and anime con that I've staffed at for the better part of five years. We are not a new convention in the Cleveland area anymore.

THEN WHY DO WE STILL FUCKING HAVE 10 YEAR OLD AMATUER ANIME ART ON OUR FUCKING FLYERS.

Fucking seriously. I don't give two shits who's art it is. It's not fucking suitable for a con that's been around for as long as we have. The art is the FIRST thing people see from us. Our flyers and shit, months before the convention even comes around. Sure, if this was a one or two year con, I would expect sub-par art. But, for fuck's sake, we have GOOD ARTISTS on staff. Why aren't THESE people doing art instead of THIS.

This is part of our fucking image, people.

Hell, even the first couple years had better art stuff for flyers and badges. What the fuck happened? Even Ohayocon and Tekkoshocon has better art. And they're only a year or two difference on either end from CCC.

And, since I'm ranting about the con ANYHOW...

I'm tired of not being informed of SHIT. I don't know if things just aren't getting through the grapevine to us. But, for fuck's sake, there's THREE of us here that have been with the convention for just about every year. And, every year, we hear nothing until the last minute. I've known of ONE MEETING for this coming year. Not including the online meeting. This lack of communication is fucking bullshit. It really amazes me to see that the con is still going when no one but a core group of people talk about anything. And then fail to tell the rest of the staff.

Fucking amazing.

I just....jesus christ. I love working for the convention, but I hate all this bullshit.

If we still even go this year, I think we're running a furry panel.

I had a dream they had a bunch of nice fur at a nearby Joann's. o_o

I'm awake. Early. Gasp. And, by early, I mean, 'at least an hour before work'.

I work the next fucking five days straight. 11AM-8PM or 7PM. Guh. I will surely be dead. And then next week is all on a day/off a day. Bleh.

I'm -$4.79 in the bank. Ugh. thankfully, my bank doesn't charge overdraft as long as the amount is under -$5. And there'll be money in there tomorrow morning. So I'm not terribly concerned.

I hope my paycheck's decent. I have alot of bills and shit to pay this week. x_x Stupid lot rent.

I'm trying to get TJ motivated to get back into suiting so we can make stuff, and maybe make some stuff on the side to sell for a little extra cash.

I'm tempted to take commissions again. But...I still have Camstone's, which I need to fix up. That's ALL I need to do to it, is fix some things. And it'll be done. But everything's just been so draining that I'm shocked I've been able to do much of anything. And really, what I have worked on, has been very little. I draw mostly at work anymore now. And I still have three Gaia commissions that I have to start/work on/finish.

So, one thing at a time. I'm not going to get all flustered because I'm late on commissions that aren't even paid for in real money (and, honestly, that's how I feel about it. Gaia commissions are second priority to just about everything, really.). I'll get them done, but it'll take some time. Because, jesus christ, they're FULL COLOR/SHADED commissions. It takes me long enough to finish those to begin with.

But, whatever. Ugh.

The house needs cleaned hardcore. It's a little sad. I'll have to get on that when I come home this evening. Hopefully. Garbage goes out tonight anyhow, so I might as well.
