(no subject)

Whee! Alive! Didn't make my typical 'hey, we're here!' post yesterday cause we got to carvedinshadows' place, got a quick tour of the house, met family, and then rused off to the Toronto Zoo! Whee! It's pretty nice, BIG, too. All the animals were being pretty lazy and the hyena's were sleeping. Stupid 'yenas. :P The artic wolves were all awake and active. I got two short videos of them walking about (oooh, exciting!). I bought a CUTE little fox plushie and I bought TJ some postcards and a laughing 'yena plushie. :D So cute.

After the zoo, we came back to Carved's place and watched lots of Vin Diesel and MST3K. Good times were had by all.

Today is wacky Canadian Thanksgiving and I'm not sure what we're doing. There's family things going on here, so Carved isn't sure if he wants to join us on a trip to the Pacific Mall or not. We'll have to see. :D

And we haven't spent that much money (yet)! Zoo admission was the only expensive thing, really. And we'll be heading back home tomorrow. I really don't want to have to pay roughly $0.80/liter for gas up here (that's almost $3 or $4 a gallon, BTW), but I think we'll have to cause I don't think the half a tank or whatever we have will take us to the border. :P Blah.

I also hope the border still isn't on increaded security. When I called yesterday it said there could be possiblt inspections and you might need at least two forms of ID. And TJ only has her drivers license on her. Nothing else. And I'm not sure if they'd take paystubs or car registration or something. We'll have to see, I guess. :P

Now, uh, I'm waiting for TJ to get out of the tub and checking up on interweb things before we decided what we're all going to be doing. :D

Two updates! FANCY!

Went to Pacific Mall, and Carved joined us, as it was only an hour or two before dinner anyhow. We managed to find parking in a record 10 minutes (last time it took two hours to find parking!). We bought The Cat Returns for $5. Or, it might be The Cat Returns, as that's what the screencaps on the box are from. But the summary is something completely different. Ah well, it should be interesting either way. I also got some Chocolat de Caramel Pocky Decorer and some berry flavored Pocky G (or is it G Pocky?). I also saw some Milk Tea Pocky I wanted to try, but didn't have enough Canadian cash on me (we didn't get it all exchanged at once, for the simple fact that we'd spend it all). I also bought TJ a Kakashi poster. Whee!

After the mall, we came back to Carved's place and had Thanksgiving dinner. Which was NUMMY. And PUNKIN PIE! <3<3<3 And the broccli casserole was really, really good.

Tonight, we're loafing. I want to make a snack run, but I don't know if anyone will be up for it. Tomorrow we depart sometime in the morning. I'll have to call us off from work, cause I know we won't get back in time. And even if we do, I'm not going to want to go out to work right after sitting in the car for five hours. I'm gonna want to sleep. :P
