Today was a good day.
Jul. 23rd, 2004 10:36 amWork was easy and fast, and Mr. Bowman bought us pizza and then James bought us ice cream. I contributed by picking up a bag of chips when I went to cash my check.
TJ paid the cell bill and picked up my prints (which came out pretty good, even though the edges of the background are a tiny bit pixely, but that's how the image was, unfortunately. :P). She also got the new Elfquest book, The Searcher and the Sword. GLEE! :D:D:D And a cool little ceramic pot-thing for me.
After picking me up from work, we went to Borders. Saw some manga I might have to read. And volume 2 of XXXholic is out. :P Read some magazines and met some furries.
Unfortunately, they were sterotypical furries. Go figure. They were nice, but I think they were a bit intimidated with us either being female or, well, being us. I don't know. But the conversation was excruitating and I really didn't want to stand around and talk about Vampire for 15 minutes. Ah well. You win some, you lose some.
From there, we walked the mall a bit. Put in an application at one of the koisks. Well, not really an application, but gave them my name and number, cause they do over-the-phone interviews. So maybe that'll go good. TJ went to work at 4:30PM and left me to wander by my lonesome. Went to Target, spent about $17 on a few on-sale shirts for myself. Cause I never buy myself anything. :P I got a cool orange shirt that has a VW van on it with 'Road Trip' written on it. It's got LOTS OF SPARKLIES. And it's orange. Woot. I also got my NEON DAY-GLO YELLOW shirt I'd been pining over for, like $6. And a shirt that reads ' Requires Constant Supervision' that I couldn't pass up. Wandered the mall some more, bought my mom a new journal (cause it was only $1.70, marked down 90% at Gorants from $17) and two candles. I figured I'd make some kind of housewarming gesture.
Caught the bus, missed my mom's house by two streets. Got there, hung out, gave her her candles and such. She gave me and TJ a cool wolf print she got from a thrift store that she matted for us. Sat around, decided to go bowling, which was entertainment in itself. I got beat both games. But the second game, I only got beat by one point. Bastards. But that's okay, and it was pretty fun, even if it was hanging out with my mom and Bud.
After that we swung by Lynn's place (Bud's mom) to see her, cause she was sick and couldn't make it. We jabbered about Will Smith and Vin Diesel and all was good.
Now, I am home and TJ's home and we need FOOD. Aaaugh.
And the cell bill for next month is $111? Ouch. That must be from the calls back and forth to Draco while we were in Canada. :/
