Updated [livejournal.com profile] obliviousally's journal. Snazzed up her userinfo and added a new userpic. Woome.

Boredboredbored.

BA and Gotti got into it last night. Augh. We introduced them to see how they liked each other, cause TJ wanted to breed them. All was good for a bit, until BA hunched up and they created the 'gerbil ball of death'. Which then cause me to panic and grab them (still in the ball, mind you, cause I couldn't manage to pry them apart. AT ALL.) and toss them to TJ who (smartly) was holding a towel. They finally let go, and neither was badly wounded. All BA did to Gotti was scrap his side with her teeth and Ba wouldn't stay still long enough for us to check her. But she wasn't visibly bleeding, and none of her fur was torn or matted, so she was alright.

And, after that, we're thinking of getting rid of BA. I've been trying to hold her more, and she's barely been any more social. She'll come to the door of her cage and sniff around outside, and she'll occassionally crawl onto my hands. But other than that, you can't pick her up out of the cage (whereas Rosa and Bolt will -crawl- up your hand to sit on your shoulder, and Gotti will try to do the same, but end up chewing on you). And her and Bolt are sibilings. After we seperated them, she got very introverted. And her and Botl got the same amount of love. I mean, Rosa came from a cage full of gerbils at the pet store, and she's perfectly sociable. Hell, so are Willow and Oz, and Willow's blind! They still run from you, but they let you pick them up and like it when you hold them. We think they're the most 'gerbilly' of the gerbils. All the other ones are spolied and attention whores. Horrible babies. :D

But, back to BA. There's a coupld in Akron that are interested in adopting her. Or, we'll take her to the store. I do hate to do it, but I can't deal with an unsociable gerbil. I'll feel bad cause she's not getting enough love, or something. And, maybe someone else can tame her. I dunno. We had to do the same thing to Dom, cause her kept biting. And her was damn cute, too.

Ah well, we'll figure something out.

Tomax and Xamot aren't exactly shoulder-perchers either. Neither want to be picked up. If I'm lucky enough to get one of them, I put them on my palm or shoulder and suddenly I turn into a contortionist to prevent them from doing Insane Gerbil Stunts - they're always on the move. And Xamot's always looking tired and spending most of his time inside their cubbyhole. He's got me worried. :/

*nods* Ozlet Pookins (their sister) is alot like that. She's still not used to being held and she zips around alot when out of her cage. *hmms* They still have all their little playbits, I imagine? Maybe try picking up some chewtoys, if they don't have enough in that category? I know Ozlet gets like that, but TJ picked up some soft wood blocks for ours, and they love them.

Chewtoys and yogurt drops it is. They have the hamster wheel, but it's rather immobile, and TP rolls don't even last an hour anymore - Tomax chews right though 'em!
