Which looks better?

The first is a .gif and the second is a .jpg. The .jpg looks like utter -shit- on my computer, but I attribute that toi using AOL. But I just can't seem to make my .jpgs look nice and smooth like they're supposed to. I'm asking because Kami questioned why the previous pic was a .gif, and I was curious if it would look any better as a .jpg. But I can't really use my computer to properly judge that.

And...any tips for saving images a .jpgs? I do perfer .gifs, but if I can make a nice image look better as a .jpg, I'll use that instead.

Anyhow. Um. Goin' out to the mall (again) today. Woot. Gotta meet up with Noir later around noon. Whee. Hopefully it won't decide to rain as I'm leaving the house. But that's okay, I'm prepared! I have an umbrella. Woo. Go me.

Yeah...I don't think I have much of relavance to write this morning. Bwee.

of course the GIF looks better :D you're probably saving the JPGs in PSP yes? Well, there is no good way to save stuff as a JPG in PSP o_o;; I -always- use photoshop on the highest setting to save my images :D
[although people still say "lots of pixelation" blah blah] it's the best quality :D

Oh yeah ;_; I'm sorry i missed your birthday! I wanted to wait to tell you happy birthday until i finished your picture ;_; i've had it drawn since a couple days before it, and haven't finished it x_x I drew angel & a chibi angel :D i'll finish it soon though :D

Of course! That would be my problem. I forget that (almost) everyone uses Photoshop for their stuff. :P

for aliased things like oekaki, GIFs are better. they have fewer colors, so they look cleaner and the file size stays lower.
