Ally is a fucking retard, the end.
Oct. 25th, 2011 01:50 pmGuess who's functionally retarded?!
It shouldn't be that difficult of a guess, either.
Because I'm a retard and didn't pay attention to the fact that, when I paid the electric bill last month, it tried to pull out of an old bank account instead of the new one, our electric was cut off today. I mean, Ohio Edison could have been cool bros and gone, hey, this account isn't even active anymore, try paying with something else.
So now I'm stuck scrambling to pull $300 out of absolutely nowhere to get the electric turned back on. They won't take anything less and I have, like, $10 to my name. I paid the water bill yesterday and bought a little bit of food. Which is pretty much useless now, as the stove is unusable (it's electric) and nothing I have is really microwave-only. Like, I bought chicken breast and stuff like that. I mean, there's some soups and stuff i can make in the microwave if I run the long extension cord upstairs, but ugh.
The only upside is, thanks to the weird wiring in the house, only the downstairs electricity is off. Things work fine upstairs, as long as we don't blow a fuse or something (which will be a concern once I run a cord upstairs so I can, y'know, power the fridge so we don't lose all of our food).
I'm getting about $600 in the next week, but that has to go towards rent. So I can either have lights on or I can have a roof over my head. Great choices, I know.
On top of this, we have to re-apply for our food stamps by the 31st, which is just one more thing to worry about at this point.
Usually, I would just take commissions to help raise the money I need, but I've hardly drawn in months and the last thing I want to do is take a bunch of money for drawings I can't do justice to. I could try to sell stuff, but people just don't buy things like sketches or prints or anything like that.
Kent doesn't have a Labor Ready or any kind of pay today temporary labor service, so I can't even work for a few days to get what I need. I'll take donations, but I can't really give much in return. I can pay people back, but it may not be until the spring or summer, when my money evens out again.
In short: cool story, bro.
