Wait...are you serious?
Mar. 4th, 2011 07:54 pmSo, if no one's seen yet, LJ is offering a free paid account for two weeks to everyone. This is awesome because, well, free paid time. So I'm browsing through the comments and I see this:

Yes, that is seriously someone - WHO HAS A PAID ACCOUNT - complaining because free users are getting temporary paid accounts and feel they should be 'reimbursed' because of that.
Then, this thread happens:

How does...what. So, paid users got reimbursed a few days of paid time because LJ was crapping out. You get that because you're PAYING FOR A SERVICE. Not because LJ was giving out something for free and somehow snubbing its paid users. The argument has no leg to stand on.
Jesus H. Christ, what a remarkable sense of entitlement.

Date: 2011-03-05 05:38 am (UTC)Paid users shouldn't be reimbursed in any way. It's just like when a service has some promotional 'get ____ free' when you have a new account. Existing using don't get that, tough cookies, kids.
This is kinda why I don't bother reading comments on the news, too many users that just don't understand how this stuff works in the first place.
