I did this yesterday. I've been keeping my sketchbook open in front of me when I'm in my office and just doodling when I see things online that give me inspiration. Clothes, people, pictures, whatever. I think it's helping. Anyhow, there's some RP lulz about a certain character and his boyhood fantasy involving TRON. This is Tony's character, Sitara. Drawing all the papillion floof was fun because I like drawing floof. I also dflghdfklgh love the TRON outfits because BLACK and GLOWY and yes.

The inks for this aren't all that great because my hand kept shaking some when I was doing those fiddly detail lines. I might go back and fix it, I might not. I also need to learn to do convincing glow piping/reflective panels. I directly reffed Quorra's boots (because they're amazing) and a little bit of her gloves, but the rest I came up with myself.

Also, here's something of Gwen in a ridiculous outfit.

So the home/financial situation is....about exactly the same as it was last week. I still need about $160 to cover rent and I've no fucking clue where it's going to come from. I spend Tuesday sitting downstairs and crying between each phone call to somewhere I put an application in because they'd filled all of their holiday positions or they weren't hiring. Walmart lost my applications and I had to reapply, so I have to wait for anything new to come open.

This is, legitimately, the worst luck I've EVER had with finding a job. At least, in Warren, I could go to Labor Ready and make some cash that way. But the closest Labor Ready here is in Akron and we can't afford the gas to get back and forth without the guarantee of me getting an assignment.

I think I'm getting ready to start my period, so it's sort of either amplifying the situation or making me go 'fuck it, whatever'. Neither of which are good mindsets. So I'm mainly trying not to think on it/stress about it. There's places I need to call Monday in hopes someone will have SOMETHING open.

Also, our oldest rat man, Remus, died yesterday. He was ancient, though, well over two and a half years. He came back with us from Seattle and was the last of Crepe's babies.

In better news, Tony got back into school (I don't know if I wrote about it before, but it was a huge clusterfuck and too long to detail here now), which is awesome! He's only allowed to take 6 credit hours this semester, because his therapist wants him to ease back into the whole thing. But his financial aid more than covers that, so that's awesome. Come January, we'll both be back in school and we'll both have financial aid, which will be a huge help. But that's January and not now, unfortunately.

Now, I'm making turkey. We bought a turkey breast this year instead of the whole thing because we usually forgo eating the wings/legs. I brined it last night and, apparently, it shouldn't take more than three or so hours to cool. Hurrah! Usually we have too much food for Thanksgiving, but this year we bought just enough for it to not be overkill. My only sadness is that I totally forgot to get a pumpkin pie. But we have a dutch apple pie instead.
