2010 is proving to be a bit frustrating still.
Called the guy with the house in Stow. He's going to get back to us on Saturday with an answer. Why's that, well, his mother's home may be going into foreclosure and, if that happens, he's going to move her into the house we're wanting. If he can avoid having that happen, it's ours. I cannot blame him, after all. But it leaves us a little frustrated and re-starting the apartment search JUST IN CASE the whole thing falls through. I really like the place and I hope we'll get it, but I'm not going to sit around and do nothing in the meantime.
However, since we're going to be going to the Stark campus, we have a wider range of places we can house hunt in. On one hand, I'd like to stay in the Kent/Stow area. But that means a 35 minute drive to North Canton. We don't want to live in Akron because it's, well, Akron. So we're looking at places in North Canton and still looking in Stow, Cuyahoga Falls, Kent, etc. It's just a matter of finding somewhere we're comfortable with in....less than two weeks.
We've worked on tighter schedules.
I just don't want to stay here. I'm sick of all the bullshit with this house and I simple don't want to put up with it anymore. We should have our OWN place that isn't falling apart or has black mold or gets the utilities randomly disconnected. I'm tired of hearing Al's incessant shit and whining about how he has no money. I'm just fucking sick of Warren's shenanigans.
This year, I take shit from nothing. I'm tired of life trampling on me and smiling about it. Life's going to get a swift kick in the jeans from here on out and it's going to like it.
In other news, when I walked up to the grocery store the other day I ended up returning home with a dog.
Someone ditched a friendly young pit bull mix in the plaza. He was thin and holding his paws up because they were so cold (it's been snowing a lot lately). The girl from the Mr. Hero who was feeding him bread said he'd been there for awhile and they were trying to get in touch with the animal shelters and such around here. Only, because it was after 5PM, no one was open. I decided to take him home and call around, see if I could find someone to take him. No dice and he ended up staying in the garage in one of the crates we have.
Ended up contacting the dog warden because they adopt well tempered pits out. The local shelter would have put him down. The officer who came to get him said they'd scan him for a chip. I'm hoping he just got out of someone's house or something because he was neutered and people with pits don't normally neuter them around here because they're used for fighting.
I'd tried getting in contect with pit rescues, but I had no luck. Sooo.
Then, I had to clean shit out of the foyer and I'm reminded why I like animals that live in cages.
Someone on FurBuy bailed on paying for an auction. THAT'S COOL. It's also a pain in the ass because that $50 would've been nice. But, whatever. I'll have to repost it and hope it sells again.
My mom still has my camera. I would really like it back, but I don't know when she'll be in town. Lame.
The four rat girls will have a new home at the end of the week hopefully. A lady contacted me about taking them. Shank (our bunny) will also be going to a rabbit rescue and will hopefully find a nice home. Some creatures we're still having difficulty finding homes for and it's pissing me off.
Some things are falling into place while some are just aggravating me. I hope this is just some little 'ha-ha here's some shit to piss you off' test and everything smooths out in the end.
