Two days and it will be 2010.

I've looked forward to this since 2000.

Why?

Because TWENTY-TEN sounds so futuristic to say. Two thousand ten? BORING! We just had ten years of two thousands! Now we get NINETY YEARS of awesome-sounding twenty-somethings.

Twenty-twenty four!
Twenty-thirty eight!
Twenty-fifty six!

See! So much cooler than two thousand-something.

I rest my case.

I've never really referred to this decade as "two thousand XXXX" ever. I've always referred to it as "twenty-'0X'" or "2KX"

Ironically, everyone will go blind in the year twenty-twenty. It'll happen, I swear. Just watc- OOOOHHH you can't cos you'll be blind, too. >.>
