obliviousally_ljMy adventure to the art store yielded a little bit of things. I got a mat cut for the Poe print. But I'm not sure if I want to stick with black, or find a deep red/wine color instead. It's hard. D: I don't know what color I'm going with for the Phe & Kyle print. I snagged a blue one (cause more brown, unless it's a really dark shade, might be too much). But the blue was precut and I thought it fit, but it's not quite right. But that's not a huge deal. And I can't seem to find ANYTHING that seems to work with the Phe print. I was thinking blue, maybe green? Yellow? I don't know! D:
The mat for the Poe pic is custom cut. It's, like, 15 by....probably 9, I think. It was 11x15 but I got the edges trimmed down because I wanted them all to match and it looks better longer anyhow. Thankfully, I'm not framing these! I totally don't have the money for regular frames, let alone custom ones!
(even though the Poe one would look beautiful framed and Michael's is having a 50% off all framing orders going on...)
Ahem.
I really, really, REALLY want to buy little scrapbook embellishments to add to these. Make 'em one-of-a-kind sort of things. But scrapbook stuff is SO expensive. And it's hard to find something that FITS, y'know? Pain in the ass.
I'm happy to see I'm actually making money off of my work again. And this is alot easier than commissions, believe you me. :V
I'm working tonight. Picked up someone's elses night because they wanted it off. Woohoo! Now, hopefully, I won't end up coming home because of death-cramps. D:
