Finnick~

This is Finnick. He is always wide-eyed and pointy-eard. He also has a jingly collar with soot sprites. I'm letting him explore the house today, since he's had his wormer. The other cats have mixed opinions. I think Dean keeps mistaking him for his brother, Sam, when I have him in my lap. He'll sniff and lick Finnick's head, but then hiss at him if I lift him up. It's weird. He wants to play with the other cats really badly, though, and keeps wandering around purring and batting at them.

I've been trying to do new ~stuff~ with my hair. It's hard. I've never been a fancy hair sort of person. But then, I've never been a girly, wearing skirts a lot, dressing cute sort of person, either. Funny how things change. But I've got a lot of hair and I do like wearing it down, but it can get really hot. It's THICK and I really do need to go to the salon to get it properly layered, but I don't know why I'm so reluctant about it.

So I've just been doing basic stuff like pinning some back with bobby pins and aiming for sort of an intentionally messy sort of look.I really didn't spend a lot of time doing stuff with my hair growing up. All through high school it was down to my ass and I wore it pulled back in a tight bun. Before that, it was ponytails because I had better things to do at 12 and 13 than worry about my hair. Like climbing trees and stuff. So now I feel kind of like a derp when I don't know how to do real basic hair stuff (and don't even get me started on makeup, because that's another world entirely that I have never visited unless it involves a costume).

I went out and about today to return something to Target and I ended up picking up some cheap stuff. A neat ribcage shirt from Five Below. I need to take it in a little so it fits nicer, but I like it. I also bought Tony a ridiculous 'Happy Hallo-Weenie' tee with a hot dog on it. It's very fitting.

Target also has this amazing hipster animal merchandise that I had to buy. I mean, look at this:

It's really the best thing I've seen.

I also bought some soup crocks because they have lids and putting soup in our hot chocolate mugs works well enough, but a can fills it exactly to the brim and carrying those around full of hot soup isn't a great idea. These are much bigger and nicer anyhow. Plus, they were only $3 each!

I'm also reminded I may not have shared these?

Kitty Kigurumi~ It's fleecy and crazy cozy warm, but I can get too hot in it right now. It'll be great for my office in the winter, though, since I don't have a heating grate in here. Demon/ram horns I bought from the Halloween store the other week. I don't know if I'll work a costume around them, but they were only $8, so I had to have them. I may repaint them, as well. Aaaand, moose hat. Because Jared Padalecki is my spirit animal and only Supernatural fans will get that. It was really my biggest splurge on a single item lately ($25), but it'll be nice for the winter and it IS awfully cute. It's super warm, as well.
