At the last possible minute (3PM), we decided to go up to the casting call for extras for The Avengers up in Cleveland. We seriously got there at, like, four minutes to 4PM. Not five minutes after we'd been in line, they passed out numbers to the remainder of us (there were probably a total of 3100 people there today, considering our numbers were 3093 and 3094, the numbers were necessary for the headshots they took, so they could match the papers and the pictures together later on). We were, like, six people from the end of the line, really.

Procrastinating really paid off this time because our wait time was only two hours. The weather was hot, but it could have been a lot worse, all things considered. Plus, no one was anal about the line, so if you needed to leave to grab a drink in the hotel or if you wanted to sit down nearby, no one stole your spot or pitched a fit.

It was...interesting to see what people considered 'business excutive' or even 'business professional'. You stay classy, Cleveland. I mean, yeah, I was in something more akin to business casual, but I still looked presentable and everything. We saw a pair of girls in tube top/shorts rompers that looked like potato sacks. Brown and everything. It was...it was something. There was a girl in front of us that reminded us a lot of Pepper, though!

The biggest downside was the crazy, possibly homeless man in line behind us. He reminded us SO MUCH of Al and that's a HIGHLY NEGATIVE thing. He was talking conspiracies and other dumb, dumb bullshit to this other girl that just didn't care and then this OTHER girl who only encouraged him and had an AWFUL high, grating voice. UGH.

But the line went pretty quickly because they took 30-40 people at a time. When we got in, we filled out a paper of basic info, like clothing sizes, name and age, and if you have any other obligations and such. The casting director is going to be doing call backs in the next week, because filming starts at the beginning of August. We're crossing out fingers, because it'd be really awesome. Plus, what the hell else are we doing? PLUS, it's $10/hour plus overtime over eight hours a day. The days are supposed to average 10-14 hours, so that's pretty nice money. Even though I'd probably do something like this for free~

Afterwards, we drove up to Trader Joe's in Chagrin Falls. It was quite nice and we bought a bit of food. :3
