Somehow, I have hives. All I've eaten today was some potato salad, which has nothing unusual in it.
How the hell did I get hives? They're all over my arms/shoulders and on my chest.
Lame.
So, since Al's mother is technically a ward of the state now. Because Adult Protective Services stepped in for whatever reason and took her. I don't know what the issue was there, probably because she'd been in and out of the hosptial for a little while there. There was no abuse or anything absurd like that going on when she stayed at Al's place. We're all assuming it was someone who felt burned when Al had to let go all of the caregivers awhile back because he couldn't afford to pay them all anymore.
Anyways, since he is no longer her sole guardian, the state is getting her checks to pay for her care at the nursing home. However, since he, for whatever reason, decided to keep her TWO houses (one of which we're living in) and keep the electricity on in them, those bills have no gotten paid yet. I'm sure they will, that's not what I'm concerned about.
I'm concerned about the house getting sold from under us and us having nowhere to live.
Seriously.
Nowhere.
I am, obviously, negative in the bank. I don't have anything fancy like, say, SAVINGS. Not for lack of trying, of course.
We can't stay at the apartment, the landlady over there loathes us and just wants us in another apartment. Plus, I have no desire to live in a complex where shootings happen regurarly and it's constant ghetto punks and children screaming at all hours of the day.
We can't stay with my mother. Her landlady doesn't allow any animals in the house. And we're not leaving our critters anywhere.
I wish people would inform me of these things AHEAD OF TIME. I'd be happy to pitch in for the bills here, if need be, but I can't do shit if I DON'T KNOW WHAT'S GOING ON. For FUCK'S SAKE. Tell me what's happening with the HOUSE I'M LIVING IN.

In other news, I'm still broke. Lovely. My mom was going to have someone bring in some cash for me, but they flaked out on her, so I'm screwed. The gas in our car is indicated only by the notch right above Empty. Even if I went out to get $20 from my mom, it would just go back into the gas tank and defeat the purpose of going out there to get money for food.
I have $50 sitting in Paypal in the form of an eCheck. It's like adding insult to injury. $50 I can't even use until the check clears tomorrow or the day after.
I have someone interested in a commission, but won't have the money for the next couple days. That's cool, but everything's dangling JUUUUUUST out of reach for me.
Behind a freshly-cleaned pane of glass.

And Quidditch is gonna have to go to the vet in payday to get his one snaggletooth trimmed off because it's starting to grow into his lip. Thankfully, the one vet we taken them to only charges for what needs done, as they don't actually treat rats, but they're happy to do small things like teeth trimming and such. And last time we took one of 'em, it was only $8 for a tooth trim.
Blah blah blah, I'm broke, life sucks, etc., etc. I'm sorry my journal is just wangst and shit lately. I don't want it to be, believe me. D:
