Stuff and SCANNER WOES.

I picked up a used scanner today. And it would seem that it works okay.
It will preview the image just fine, but when I go to scan it, the carriage just...stops. And freezes everything up. It's obviously not an internal thing preventing the carriage from moving, if so, it wouldn't be able to get a preview image. But I can't, for the life of me, figure out what the hell to do about it. D:
Okay, apparently, maybe, it needs warm-up time. I decided to screencap the preview images of what I was trying to scan so I can post art and all that jazz. And, after a few, I decided to try scanning something though and it did. But the second time I tried, it froze up again. D:
