Cause I'm drinkin' and they payin' me for it.

So, today was pretty eventful, I suppose. Woke up early, like, 9AM early. Braided TJs hair (cause she'd been bugging me all night to do it, but I was too tired). Got dressed and all that, went to get my check from Labor Ready. Put gas in the car, and made the trip to Akron.

Stopped at Chipotle on the way, and also found Spellbinders (RPG gaming store) in Kent. And a cool little shop called Lasso the Moon. Picked up a couple buttons (one with an anti-Bush picture, one that reads 'I <3 Porn' and one that has the 'Not all who wander are lost' quote) and TJ got one that says 'Don't make me come up there. -Satan'. And I bought TJ another TMNT RPG book. I also got her a cool eternity-style earring. It was a bitch and a half to put in her ear, mostly cause of the little ball. We stopped at the comic store on State Rd. in Akron, cause it's the one with all the old school Transformers. And some anime stuff Kenmore Comics doesn't have, I believe. Still can't find Genus: Male #3, but I can probably get the comic store downtown to order it. Picked up a bunch of Hellboy comics and TJ found two posters she wanted (Auron from FFX and an Inuyasha one), so we got those too. I also stopped by shin_neko's place to drop off his comission and Jon's Genus: Male #3. I was unexpected and woke them up. Go me! Then, we decided we were getting tired, milled over going up to Lakewood and finding Chain Link Addiction, but we decided to save that for another day when we have more money. Cause, like, B-Ware, the b-movie store is there and, well, I impluse buy when I'm at places I know I can't go to too often. Like conventions.

Home consisted of crashing for a few hours (after finishing off burritos) and being woken up by nachitor calling. I then went down to the corner store to buy pop and munchies and got hit on by one of the guys that works there. No bad vibes from him, it was just weird. I informed him (read: lied) that I had a boyfriend. He proceeded to ask me how old he was and what color he is (like it matters?) and I pulled some random answers out of my ass and went on with my business. Either way, it doesn't really deter me from going back down there, cause he wasn't being uber-creepy or anything. Just weird.

I wanna Cactuar shirt...

This took me about...2 or 3 hours. Give or take. Last time I checked the clock it was 4-something AM. So it could be closer to 4 hours. And my computer crashed in the middle of saving, so I thought I lost it, but I didn't. Thank god. x_x

Anyhow, tis Gwen. I always have trouble dolling her because she's got a certain figure that I don't see with alot of bases (and I'm too lazy to make one specifically for her); she's got big hips, and is pretty curvy and squishy overall. But I found this base and I was like 'OMG! It's PERFECT!' and got to work. I'm not too fond of her hair (it's naturally gray, BTW. And dyed blue at the tips). Her markings took me the most time, as well as getting the color correct on her (working with bright pink and purple is very difficult...). The detail on her jeans took awhile, as well. As did her shirt, although, this was mostly figuring out what to put on it.

Overall, I'm really happy with it. The eyes are a little weird, but I'm no good with eyes, so I just left the original ones there. Ah well.

Base is from Cherryville. And the Cactuar thing is from a brush set available at Lush Brushes.
