*takes a DEEP breath*
Nov. 29th, 2002 09:27 amOkay, I've got four days of stuff to recap, so bear with me...
Monday: Woke up. Did last minute packing (read: actual packing) and headed out to go up to Buffalo. Whee! The drive wasn't too bad. Until we hit the NY Thruway at 5 o'clock. Mmmmmmmm, rush hour. In NY. Oh joy. Almost got clipped by a semi while trying to get off at an exit, but we didn't. o_o;; Made it to
illuminatus and
bokusha's place around...sometime. I dunno. They were pleased. After we settled in, we headed out to get foodstuffs. :D They're Tops is HUGE. Seriously. o_o And they had sushi. Yumyum. :9 Went to Walmart for something or another. Headed back home, the guys called off work. We spent the evening RPing White Wolf and laughing at each others' misfortune. :D Funtimes.
Tuesday: Up around...sometime in the morning. I don't remember. Loafed about for awhile, then we headed out to hit the mall. The Lockport mall has fucking Para Para Dancing. o_o It is so fucking cool. I want it so bad, but I don't have $200 to shell out for the game and the sensors. *sad* But we played it a bunch of times. So addictive. All you use is your hands, and you wave them above the sensors when the arrows meet at the top (a la DDR). Lotsa fun. :D Ate, then headed home for a bit to play Bust A Groove. Went back out to another mall, and to drop off the two at their work before we left. Discovered the cell phone was cut off, cause they'd recieved a notice that day that the last bill hadn't went through. Stopped at a gas station as it started to snow. Figured we'd make it at least halfway home before the storm really hit. Ha! >_< Barely made it to Erie, PA. Where we got off at a truck stop and waited there for awhile. Got a phone card, had to have a woman there call and have the company to activate it. Y'know, if you're gonna sell phone cards in a machine, at least have the fucking things activated... Called the hag and my mom. The hag really didn't care, but my mom did. At least she does, even for being a jinkie half the time. And knowing TJ doesn't like her. At least SHE gives a fuck. >_< Anyhow, my mom told us to wait it out, but TJ needed to be home for work in the morning. Talked to this cool guy (who, by the way, looked like he'd be a buddy of Xander Cage. Tattoos and bald head. Muuuurrrr. :9) who said it wasn't that bad in Buffalo, but as soon as he hit the PA line it was horrible. I guess there were jacknifed trucks on the turnpike and stuff. o_o;; Anyhow, the snow managed to let down for a bit and we headed back out. By 1AM we'd made it to Edinboro, PA. Why only that far? Cause they car wouldn't accelerate. Stopped at a gas station, the woman there said it was probably the alternator (cause she was squealing like a stuck pig) and the car probably wouldn't make it home. Goody. She did, however, call a couple hotels for us to see the prices and if there were any vacancies. We wound up spending the last $60 in TJ's bank account on a hotel room. Cause we didn't want to sleep in the car. Plus, it was safer. And I was all for anything safe. >_> But, it was nice to sleep in a bed. And to have cable and all that. Called mommy and the hag again. Same routine as before. Whee. Had a nice sleep, woke to the phone ringing. My mom, telling us that she'd called off work, and we can call her anytime we might need picked up or anything. Slept a little more, then got up cause check out was 11AM. Started the drive home. Which lasted most of the morning. :P But we finally discovered that if we put her in 2 gear, she wouldn't idle out on us. It was probably hell on her, but it got us home alot easier. :P When we got home, we found out that TJ had had her alternator replaced, and it's still under warranty. So that's getting fixed today. But it was nice to finally be home after all that stress. o_o I'm thankful that I'm pretty calm in those kind of situations. o_o And then, I slept. *snore*
Thursday: Sleeeeeep. Yes. o_o And TJ making me try greens, which didn't kill me, but I probably wouldn't eat on a normal basis. :P Also, me playing more FF8 and trying to beat the Card Club. >_< Or, to be more precise, trying to get the Carbuncle card from fucking Xu. Aarg. >_< Stupid Xu.
Today, I'm RPing! Yaay! On XME, cause no one's on BWTM. o_o And wading through 4 days of unchecked internet crap. I fear my e-mail. o_o;
And, is it just me, but are the majority of people in NY stuck-up assholes? I mean, I can't recall walking into a store and being greeted. And is pre paying for gas completely unheard of there? Oy. :P And at the gas station before we left, I went over however much we were putting in the tank by 1 cent. And when I went back in to give the woman the penny, she had her hand held out like she was expecting it. Like she'd call the cops on me if I had stiffed her ONE fucking CENT. I was so angry. All because pre paying is nonexistant in NY. Argh.
Ahywho, back to wading. o_o I gotta mail EG my addy. :D And stuff. Yeah. :P
Also! Check this out. :D
Also, the Hamtaro game is the cutest fucking thing in the world. Hamha!
